Growing Fortune 500 company seeks a senior ERISA/Employee Benefits counsel to join its Labor & Employment law group and advise HR and senior management on employee benefits-related issues and ERISA compliance matters. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position include consulting management on ERISA and qualified plan compliance, health & welfare plans, executive compensation, etc. Company is ideally looking for a vibrant, energetic team player with excellent communications skills, and a reputation for building strong client relations.
Requirements:
  • At least 10-15+ yrs experience in a broad range of ERISA/employee benefits matters at a major law firm, consulting firm, or major public corporation
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the design and administration of qualified and non-qualified plans, ERISA compliance, executive compensation, corporate pension and health and welfare plans, executive employment agreements, and general employee benefits law
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable presenting complex ERISA & benefits issues to senior management and company executives
  • Prior in-house experience highly preferred
